Food in the old folks home

So part of the fun of living in an old folks home is that they feed you.  You go to the dining room at 8 am, noon and 5 pm and sit at a table for 4 or more and some really nice kids serve you dinner.  They ask if you want small or regular.  They have soup every other night for dinner.  This really isn't a good idea when the great majority of the people have to wear bibs the size of dish towels.  It's really tricky to decide where to eat.  We're already sat across from a few that we won't be food neighbors again! If you know what I mean.  They have had hot dogs, cheese burgers, stroganoff, sweet and sour meatballs and we haven't even been here a week!!!  Everytime we walk into the dining room the ladies all say "here comes Santa Claus" or "now we know where Santa goes for the summer."  It was funny the first few times now it's getting hard to smile and laugh.  Especially when they call me Mrs. Claus.
Love you all.  Mom
